Injury RTC

Around 4:30pm on Sunday, Police attended a reported serious single vehicle road traffic collision resulting in injury on Harrington Sound Road in Smith's parish, near the junction with Paynters Road. It appears that a green Peugeot convertible was traveling east on Harrington Sound Road when the driver, a 25 year old St. George's man, lost control as he attempted to negotiate the bend at the junction of Harrington Sound Road and Paynters Road. The car crossed into the westbound lane, collided with some trees and rolled several times before coming to a rest in the eastbound lane. The St. George's man was ejected from the vehicle and sustained serious head injuries and possible internal injuries. He is currently in the Intensive Care Unit at KEMH in critical but stable condition. The car was extensively damaged. Inquiries into this incident are underway. Police are appealing for any witnesses to this incident to contact PC Veronica Outerbridge on 295-0011.

Burglary

At 1:40pm on Sunday, Police received a report of a burglary at a Secretary Lane, St. George's residence. On arrival officers spoke with the complainants who stated that sometime between 2:30pm and 9:30pm on Friday while they were away from the home, an unknown culprit gained entry. The culprit stole U.S. $600 in cash. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Weekend Activity

Over the weekend there were 4 people arrested on suspicion of impaired driving and 8 reported burglaries. There were also 16 reported damage only road traffic collisions and 13 reported road traffic collisions resulting in injury.
