Burglary - Around 6:30am on Monday, police attended a report of a burglary at the Boaz Island Gas Station in Sandys. It appears that 2 suspects gained entry into the building and made a tidy search of the premises. At this time it is unknown what was removed from the premises. An investigation into this incident is underway and police are appealing for witnesses or anyone with any information on this burglary to please contact the Western Criminal Investigation Unit on 234-1010.
Drug Activity
Based on information received, police attended an area in Smith's parish where a large number of cannabis plants were found to be growing. The area of land was concealed by bush and trees approximately 15 to 20 feet from the road side. Approximately 40 plants were uprooted and confiscated. Inquiries are ongoing. Police would like to speak with anyone who may have any knowledge of who is responsible for the cultivation of these plants.
