Sun, 2006-07-09

Around 10:30pm yesterday evening Police attended a report of men fighting at Captain’s Lounge in the City of Hamilton. On arrival officers noticed a man lying in what appeared to be blood on Reid Street outside of Captain's Lounge. It appears that 4 men were assaulting a 22 year old Southampton man resulting in one of the men knocking the victim to the ground and then robbing him of his chain. He was taken to KEMH where he was treated for a severely cut upper lip and later released. Inquires into this incident are underway.

Robbery

At 8:10pm yesterday two 16 year old boys from Pembroke reported that they were riding east along Harrington Sound Road in Hamilton Parish when the bike that they were riding broke down. While they were attending to the vehicle two men on a black Suzuki cycle rode up and asked them a question. The victims were unable to assist and the suspects rode off; but they returned shortly after. Upon their return one of the suspects remained on the cycle whilst the other approached the two boys and snatched a necklace and pendant off one of them. He then went to the other 16 year old and managed to remove his wallet, helping himself to the contents. The two suspects then got on the bike and rode off. Inquires into that incident are underway.
