Road Traffic Fatality

The Bermuda Police Service can now confirm the death of 26 year old Travis Smith, who died as a result of a road traffic collision that took place at 8:45 last evening on North Shore Road in Devonshire. It appears that Travis was traveling west on North Shore Road when he collided with a grey Suzuki Ignis car that was turning into Terceira’s Gas Station. The 26 year old St. George's man was taken to KEMH were he died as a result of his injuries. The Bermuda Police Service extends our deepest sympathies to the Smith family.

Sexual Assault

The Bermuda Police Service is investigating an allegation of sexual assault on a female that took place sometime yesterday. A man has been arrested and is assisting Police with inquires into this matter.

Burglary

On Thursday at 9:45am Police attended a report of a burglary at the Heron Bay Plaza. On arrival, Police spoke with the proprietor of a shop in the plaza who stated that between 6pm on Wednesday and 1:50am on Thursday someone gained entry and stole $100 from the cash register. It was also ascertained that other stores in the complex were vandalized. Inquires into this incident are underway.
