Burglary

At 4:35 this morning, Police attended a reported burglary at a Cedar Avenue, Pembroke residence. On arrival officers spoke with the complainant who stated that sometime between 11:30pm on Saturday and 4:10am on Sunday, an unknown culprit gained entry into his apartment. The culprit stole a Sharp 30" flat screen TV with an audio visual system and a PlayStation 2 video game system. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Around 11:55pm on Saturday, Police attended a reported burglary at a Smith's parish guest property. On arrival officers spoke with the complainants, who are visitors to the island. They stated that around 11:20pm they awoke to find an intruder in their room. They shouted at the man, who grabbed a handbag from a table before making good his escape. The handbag contained U.S. $600 in cash and personal items. A men's black wallet was also discovered missing from the room, containing U.S. $320 in cash and personal items. The couple was not injured. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

At 12:05pm on Saturday, Police attended a reported burglary at a Sandy's parish guest property. On arrival officers spoke with the complainants, who are visitors to the island. They stated that sometime between 12:30am and 9:30am that day, an unknown culprit gained entry into their room. The culprit stole a brown leather wallet containing U.S. $400 in cash and personal items. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Witness Appeal

Police are continuing to appeal for witnesses to the shooting that took place at the junction of South Road and Dunscombe Road in Warwick around 11:40pm on Thursday, June 29, 2006 that resulted in an 18 year old Warwick man sustaining a gun shot wound to his right arm. He was taken to KEMH where he was treated for the injury, which was non-life threatening and subsequently released on Saturday, July 1, 2006.
