Missing Person Yasvin Jhuboo Found - The Bermuda Police Service would like to thank the public for their assistance in locating 23 year old Yasvin Jhuboo. He has been found safe and well.

Single Vehicle Collision

Around 3:45am on Wednesday May 30th, police responded to a reported single vehicle collision on South Road in Devonshire near the junction with Brighton Hill Road. It appears that a car was travelling along South Road and apparently went off the road, receiving extensive front end damage as a result. The driver, a 24 year old Devonshire woman was not injured but she appeared to be intoxicated and was arrested on suspicion of impaired driving. A court appearance is anticipated in due course.

Burglary Advisory

The Bermuda Police Service continues to encourage the public to report any suspicious activity in their neighbourhoods. Recently such public assistance has led to the prompt arrest of suspected burglars and the recovery of suspected stolen property.

As the summer is approaching, the public is reminded to remain vigilant regarding burglaries, making sure all windows and doors are locked before leaving their homes unoccupied, even for short periods of time.

We also continue to recommend that all residents secure their valuables out of sight, record serial numbers of all items and take pictures of their possessions. In particular, make note of electronic equipment and jewelry - so that if they are stolen and later recovered, there is an accurate way of identifying them.

Members of the public are encouraged to report any suspicious activity in their neighbourhoods at the earliest opportunity by contacting the nearest police station or calling the main police number 295-0011.
