Robbery - Around 10pm on Monday May 28th, police responded to a reported robbery in the Roberts Avenue, Devonshire area. It appears that a 20 year old Pembroke man was travelling along Roberts Avenue on a motorcycle when he was accosted by two unknown males on another motorcycle near the junction with Palmetto Road. The unknown pillion passenger then took the victim’s motorcycle and made his good escape along Roberts Avenue in a northerly direction. The other suspect left shortly after. The suspects are described as two males wearing black hooded tops and dark coloured helmets with visors. The main suspect is described as being between 5’6”- 5’7” in height. There were no reported injuries and inquiries into this incident are ongoing. Police are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with any information, particularly anyone who may know the whereabouts of a black and orange Nouvo Elegance motorcycle bearing a license plate of BU497, to contact Detective Constable Christopher Sabean on 295-0011.

Collision

Around 5:20pm on Monday May 28th, police and first responders attended a reported collision on North Shore Road in Hamilton parish between a car and a motorcycle. It appears that both vehicles were travelling along North Shore Road when they collided near the junction with Cottage Hill Road. The rider, a 29 year old Warwick man was injured and conveyed to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment. The motorcycle was extensively damaged, however the Warwick man’s injuries are not believed to be serious. The driver, a 46 year old Pembroke man was not injured. There were traffic delays in the area as a result. Inquiries into this incident are ongoing.
