Collision - Around 3:30am on Sunday, May 27th police and first responders attended a reported single vehicle collision in the vicinity of Reid Street and Queen Street in the City of Hamilton. Details about the collision are unclear at this time; however a 19 year old Pembroke man was injured as a result. The victim was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment. Inquiries into this incident are ongoing.
Medical Emergency
Around 5pm on Saturday, May 26th police and first responders attended a reported medical emergency in the Harrington Sound Road, Devil’s Hole Hill Smith’s parish area. It appears that a 56 year old Pembroke man was sitting on a wall in the area when he fell overboard and had to be rescued by members of the public. Police officers and members of the public initially attended to the victim before EMTs arrived on scene to assist. The 56 year old man was then taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance and at last check was in critical condition in the Intensive Care Unit. Inquiries into this incident are ongoing.
Suspected Burglars Arrested
The Bermuda Police Service would like to commend another vigilant member of the public who reported suspicious activity in their neighbourhood on Saturday, May 26th. As a result, around 1:45pm that day officers promptly responded to a reported burglary in the North Shore Road, Whitney Avenue Pembroke area. Following a search of the surrounding area by officers, three males were arrested on suspicion of burglary. In addition, suspected stolen property was subsequently recovered. The alleged burglars remain in police custody pending further inquiries.
