Collisions - Around 6:30am on Wednesday May 2nd, police and first responders attended a reported pedal cycle collision on Pender Road in Sandys. It appears that a pedal cyclist was travelling along Pender Road when he lost control and fell to the ground. The rider, a 41 year old Sandys man was injured and conveyed to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance. Inquiries into this incident are underway. Around 9am on Tuesday May 1st, police and first responders attended a collision on Blue Hole Hill near the junction with Wilkinson Avenue in Hamilton parish between a motorcycle and a car. The rider, a 21 year old St. George’s woman was injured and conveyed to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance where she was treated and later released. The driver, a 34 year old St. George’s woman was not injured. Inquiries into this incident are underway. Witnesses to this incident are encouraged to contact PC Adrian George on 295-0011.
