Collision - Around 4:50pm on Tuesday April 24th, police and first responders attended a reported collision on Middle Road in Warwick near the junction with Ord Road. It appears that a car and a motorcycle were travelling along Middle Road when they collided. The rider, a 48 year old Warwick woman was injured and conveyed to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment. The driver of the car, which is a Government vehicle, was not injured. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
Impaired Driver
Around 8:20pm on Tuesday April 24th, officers on mobile patrol on Middle Road in Warwick responded to a report of a car driving erratically. Officers located the car, which was stationary, near the junction with Tamarind Vale and approached the driver, a 51 year old Southampton man who appeared to be intoxicated. He was arrested on suspicion of impaired driving and detained in police custody as a result. A court appearance is anticipated in due course.
