Assault

Around 1:20pm today, Police received a report of an assault at a Crawl Point Lane West, Hamilton parish residence. It appears that the victim, a 25 year old Pembroke man, was dropped off at the house by a friend and found two unknown men inside. A struggle ensued between the Pembroke man, his friend and the two intruders. During the struggle, the 25 year old was stabbed in his left side by one of the suspects. Both suspects then made good their escape on a motorcycle traveling west through the Railway Trail towards the Crawl Hill Esso Gas Station. The victim is being treated at KEMH for his injury, which is not believed to be life threatening. Inquiries are underway. Police are appealing for any witnesses to this incident, particularly anyone who saw two young men on a motorcycle traveling through the Railway Trail towards the Crawl Hill Esso Gas Station around the time of this incident, to contact the St. George’s Criminal Investigation Unit on 297-1122.

Vehicle Fire

Around 3 this morning, Police attended a reported vehicle fire on South Road in Warwick, near the junction with Dunscombe Road. The Bermuda Fire Service also attended the scene and extinguished the blaze. The car was extensively damaged. An investigation into the cause of the fire is underway. Police are appealing for any witnesses to this incident or anyone with any information to contact the Somerset Criminal Investigation Unit on 234-1010.

Witness Appeal

Police are continuing to appeal for witnesses to what appears to be a serious single vehicle road traffic collision on Parsons Lane in Pembroke that occurred around 8:10am on Saturday. An investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident is ongoing. The victim, a 24 year old Pembroke man, is currently in the Intensive Care Unit in serious condition. We are particularly interested in speaking with two men who stopped at the scene on two separate motorcycles and rendered assistance to the victim.
