Impaired Drivers - Around 1:25am on Saturday April 21st, police were on mobile patrol in the City of Hamilton when they noticed a car driving erratically near the corner of Court Street and Front Street. Officers stopped the car and approached the driver, a 27 year old Devonshire woman, who appeared to be intoxicated. She was arrested on suspicion of impaired driving. She later failed the alco-analyser test and was detained in police custody as a result. A court appearance is anticipated in due course.
Around 11:30pm on Friday April 20th, police conducting speed checks along Middle Road in Warwick, noticed a car driving erratically. Officers stopped the car and approached the driver, a 22 year old Sandys man, who appeared to be intoxicated. He was arrested on suspicion of impaired driving. He later failed the alco-analyser test and was detained in police custody as a result. A court appearance is anticipated in due course.
Weekend Police Activity
Over the weekend, police officers arrested 22 people for outstanding warrants. Officers also arrested three people on suspicion of impaired driving and conducted liquor license checks at various liquor licensed premises throughout the island.
