Burglary

Around 5:50 this morning, Police attended a reported burglary at an Alexandra Road, Devonshire residence. On arrival officers spoke with the complainant who stated that around 5:20am she awoke to find 3 men in her home. The men demanded money; then searched the house, removing $500 in cash before making good their escape. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Robbery

At 9:50pm on Thursday, Police received a report of a robbery at Par-La-Ville Park in Pembroke. The victims, an 18 year old Paget man and a 14 year old Paget boy (brothers) were involved in an altercation with a group of young men in the park. During the altercation, the victims were punched to the head and body and 3 gold chains, a gold ring and a silver Audiovox cellular phone were taken. The suspects are described as five young black men, one of which is known to the brothers. Police are appealing for any witnesses to this incident to contact the Hamilton Criminal Investigation Unit on 295-0011.

Injury RTC

Around 7pm on Thursday, Police attended a reported road traffic collision resulting in injury on Middle Road in Southampton near the junction with Heron's Nest Drive, involving a car and a motorcycle. It appears that the car, a grey Toyota Yaris, was traveling east on Middle Road and the motorcycle was traveling in the opposite direction when the motorcycle crossed into the eastbound lane and the vehicles collided. The rider of the motorcycle, a 29 year old Southampton man, sustained suspected head injuries and a broken leg. He was taken to KEMH via ambulance for treatment of his injuries and is currently in critical but stable condition in the Intensive Care Unit. The driver of the car, a 51 year old Warwick woman, sustained a minor injury to her right arm. The car received extensive front end damage, while the motorcycle was extensively damaged.
