Robbery

At 8:55pm on Monday, Police attended a reported robbery on Rose Hill Street in St. George's. On arrival officers spoke with the victim, who is a visitor to the island. She stated that she was walking back to her accommodation with her family after having dinner at an area restaurant when she was approached by two unknown men. One of the men took the 49 year old woman's handbag before both suspects fled on foot. She was not injured. The suspects are described as two dark skinned men, approximately 5'7" tall wearing dark clothing. The handbag contained personal items. Inquiries into this incident are underway. Police are appealing for any witnesses to this incident or anyone with any information to contact the St. George's Criminal Investigation Unit on 297-1122.

Witness Appeal

Police are continuing to appeal for witnesses to the disturbance at the Ozone Nightclub around 2:15am on Saturday, August 19, 2006. A 20 year old Devonshire man was stabbed during the disturbance; however, he was treated and subsequently released from KEMH. An investigation into this incident is ongoing and Police are appealing for any witnesses to contact the Hamilton Criminal Investigation Unit on 295-0011.

Theft

At 5pm on Monday, Police received a report of a theft from an unattended vehicle. The complainant stated that sometime between 11:30pm on Thursday, August 17 and 11am on Friday, August 18, 2006 an unknown culprit stole $500 in cash from her car, which was parked outside her Riviera Road, Southampton residence. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
