Collision - Around 3:15am on Sunday, March 11th police and first responders attended a reported single vehicle collision at the junction of South Road and Trimingham Road in Paget. It appears that a motorcycle was traveling along Trimingham Road when the rider, a 51 year old Paget man, was unable to negotiate the round-a-bout at the junction. As a result the Paget man was injured and the motorcycle was extensively damaged. The victim was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment of his injuries, which are not believed to be serious and subsequently arrested on suspicion of impaired driving. Inquiries into this incident are ongoing.
Community Meeting
Officers from the Western Community Action Team invite all Warwick residents to attend a 6pm Neighbourhood Watch meeting on Wednesday, March 14th at T.N. Tatem Middle School. Warwick residents are encouraged to participate in this meeting, which provides an opportunity to address any concerns they may have.
Weekend Police Activity
Over the weekend, police officers arrested 16 people for outstanding warrants. Officers also conducted liquor license checks at various liquor licensed premises throughout the island.
