Robbery

Around 11:10pm on Thursday, Police attended a reported robbery at a St. George's guest property. On arrival officers spoke with the victims, who are visitors to the island. They stated that around 11pm two men entered their room and demanded money. One of the men was brandishing a machete, the other a wooden baton. The men took U.S. $800 in cash and a silver cellular phone before making good their escape. The visitors were not injured. The suspects are described as two black men, approximately 5'10" tall wearing red & white bandanas. Inquiries into this incident are underway. Police are appealing for any witnesses to this incident or anyone with any information to contact the St. George's Criminal Investigation Unit on 297-1122.

Burglary

At 11:30am on Thursday, Police received a report of a burglary at a Fritholme Gardens, Paget residence. The complainant stated that sometime between 7:30pm and 8pm on Monday, an unknown culprit gained entry into her apartment while she was away from the premises. The culprit stole a silver Sony Vaio laptop computer. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

At 8:50am on Thursday, Police attended a reported burglary at a Washington Street South, Pembroke business. On arrival officers spoke with a member of staff who stated that sometime between 1:15pm on Wednesday and 8:20am on Thursday, an unknown culprit gained entry into the store. The culprit stole $250 in cash. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
