Update: ATV Collision on North Shore Road - The two 23 year old men hurt when an ATV they were riding collided with a utility pole near the junction of North Shore Road and Blackwatch Pass, Pembroke are both in stable condition on a general ward at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital with leg injuries. Inquiries into the incident are ongoing.

Impaired Driver

Around 1:15am on Saturday February 25th, police conducting speed checks along Middle Road, Southampton noticed a motorcycle driving erratically. Officers stopped the motorcycle a short time later near the junction of Middle Road and South Road and approached the rider, a 45 year old Paget man, who appeared to be intoxicated. The Paget man was arrested on suspicion of impaired driving and for outstanding warrants. He was detained in police custody as a result. A court appearance is anticipated in due course.

Traffic Advisory

The public should be aware that all day tomorrow Tuesday February 28th, there will be no parking on Dundonald Street, Pembroke between Union Street and King Street due to the Memorial Service for Police Constable Sandy Rowe at the Heritage Worship Centre. Traffic delays may also occur between 3:30 – 4:00pm and 5:00 – to 5:30 pm as a result.

Weekend Police Activity

Over the weekend, police officers arrested 15 people for outstanding warrants. Officers also conducted liquor license checks at various liquor licensed premises throughout the island.
