Update: Mount Hill Collision - Initially it was believed that the pedestrian involved in the collision at Mount Hill, Pembroke on Thursday February 23rd was an 11 year old boy. He is now confirmed to be seven years old. At last check, the victim was in stable condition on the children’s ward at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital with a leg injury. Any witnesses to the collision or anyone with any information should contact the main police number on 295-0011.

Impaired Driver

Around 2am on Friday February 24th, police were on mobile patrol in the City of Hamilton when they noticed a car driving erratically. Officers stopped the car a short time later on Crisson Avenue and approached the driver, who appeared to be intoxicated. The driver, a 22 year old Paget man was arrested on suspicion of impaired driving and for an outstanding warrant as a result. He was detained in police custody after failing the alco-analyser test. A court appearance is anticipated in due course.
