Impaired Drivers - Around 3:10am on Sunday February 19th, police were on mobile patrol in the area of Trimingham Hill, Paget when they observed a motorcycle driving erratically. Officers caused the motorcycle to stop and spoke with the rider, who appeared to be intoxicated. The 20 year old Paget man was arrested on suspicion of impaired driving and an outstanding warrant. He was detained in police custody after failing the alco-analyser test. A court appearance is anticipated in due course.
Around 2:55am on Sunday February 19th, police were on mobile patrol in the City of Hamilton when they observed a motorcycle driving erratically along Church Street. They pursued the motorcycle and caused it to stop near the junction of Parliament Street and Victoria Street. Officers spoke to the rider, a 24 year old Paget man, who appeared to be intoxicated, and arrested him on suspicion of impaired driving. He was detained in police custody as a result. A court appearance is anticipated in due course.
Weekend Police Activity
Over the weekend, police officers arrested 14 people for outstanding warrants. Officers also conducted liquor license checks at various liquor licensed premises throughout the island.
