Collision - Around 9:15am on Wednesday February 15th, police and first responders attended a reported collision on Cahow Way in St. George’s between a motorcycle and a parked truck. It appears that the motorcycle was travelling along Cahow Way when it collided with the truck which was parked outside a terminal at the L.F. Wade International Airport. The motorcycle was extensively damaged. The rider, a 21 year old Warwick man was injured and conveyed to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening. He is currently in stable condition. Police are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with any information to contact PC Mark Tomlinson at Southside Police Station on 293-2222.

Robbery

Around 3am on Wednesday February 15th, police responded to a report of a robbery on Front Street in the City of Hamilton. It appears that a 23 year old Smith’s man was walking along Front Street near Chancery Lane when he was accosted by a group of unknown males. An unknown female was reportedly with the group of males at the time. The assailants took personal items from the victim before fleeing on foot. A short time later, police located the suspects and arrested them in connection with this incident. The five males and one female, who range in age from 17 – 33 years old, remain in police custody pending further inquiries. The Smith’s man was treated at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital for his injuries and later released. The victim’s property was recovered. A court appearance regarding this matter is anticipated.
