Impaired Drivers - Around 8pm on Sunday February 5th, police were on mobile patrol along Harbour Road in Warwick when they noticed a car driving erratically near the junction with Warwick Park Road. Officers stopped the car and spoke to the driver who appeared to be intoxicated. The 57 year old Southampton man was arrested on suspicion of impaired driving and detained in police custody after failing the alco-analyser test. A court appearance is expected in due course.
Around 3pm on Sunday February 5th, police received information from a member of the public about a car driving erratically along South Road in Devonshire heading west. Police located the vehicle travelling in an erratic manner along Middle Road in Warwick. After stopping the car, officers spoke to the driver who appeared to be intoxicated. The 45 year old Southampton man was arrested on suspicion of impaired driving and detained in police custody after failing the alco-analyser test. A court appearance is expected in due course.
Weekend Police Activity
Over the weekend, police officers arrested 6 people for outstanding warrants. Officers also conducted liquor license checks at various liquor licensed premises throughout the island.
