Collision - Around 7:30pm on Monday, January 30th police and first responders attended a reported collision on South Road in Paget near the junction with Southcote Road involving a motorcycle and an auxiliary cycle. It appears that both vehicles were travelling along South Road when they collided. The rider and pillion passenger of the auxiliary cycle, a 34 year old Devonshire man and a 31 year old Devonshire woman respectively as well as the rider of the motorcycle, a 60 year old Pembroke man, were injured. All three were taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment of their injuries, which are not believed to be life threatening. The auxiliary cycle rider is currently in stable condition on a general ward and his pillion passenger was treated for relatively minor injuries and later released. The motorcycle rider is still being assessed at the hospital. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
Impaired Driver
Around 9:05pm on Monday, January 30th police responded to a report of a collision on Keith Hall Road, Warwick between a car and a garbage truck. It appears that the car was travelling along Keith Hall Road when it collided with the garbage truck which was apparently stationary at the time. On arrival, officers approached the car and spoke to the driver who appeared to be intoxicated. The 46 year old Warwick woman was arrested on suspicion of impaired driving and detained in police custody. A court appearance is expected in due course.
Missing Teens - Found
The Bermuda Police Service would like to thank the public for their assistance in locating 17 year old Santina Harvey and 15 year old Ashley Mussenden. They have returned safe and well.
