Collision in Sandys Parish - Around 12:55pm on Friday, police responded to a reported road traffic collision resulting in injury at the junction of Middle Road and Spring Benny Road in Sandys parish involving a car and a motorcycle. It appears that the car was traveling along Spring Benny Road and the motorcycle was traveling along Middle Road when the vehicles collided at the junction. The motorcycle rider and pillion passenger, 23 year old Sandys parish women, both sustained leg injuries and were taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment. The driver of the car, a 27 year old Sandys parish woman, was not injured. Traffic was delayed in the area as a result. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Collision in Smith’s Parish

Around 2:30am on Friday, police attended a reported single vehicle road traffic collision resulting in injury on South Road in Smith’s parish near the junction with Saucos Hill. It appears that a car was traveling along South Road when it collided with a wall. The driver, a 29 year old Sandys parish man, was injured and taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment; however his injuries are not believed to be serious. The car received extensive front end damage. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Collision in St. George’s

Around 6:40pm on Thursday, police responded to a reported road traffic collision resulting in injury along the Causeway in St. George’s involving a taxi and a motorcycle. The motorcycle rider, a 51 year old Hamilton parish man, sustained a leg injury and was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment. The taxi driver, a 36 year old Pembroke man, was not injured. Traffic was delayed in the area as a result. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
