Bermudians Arrested Overseas - The Bermuda Police Service can confirm the arrest of three Bermudian Nationals in England on 5th November 2011. The trio, two females and a male had flown on a commercial flight from Barbados and were intercepted on arrival at London’s Gatwick Airport. When checked by authorities they were found to be in possession of what is believed to be a controlled drug hidden in property associated to them. The three Bermudians were taken into custody. Inquiries are ongoing.

Investigation into Suspected ‘Molotov Cocktail’ Incident

Around 1:30am on Wednesday, November 9th police responded to a report of an incident at a Southampton guest property. On arrival officers found what appeared to be remnants of a Molotov cocktail and damage to a window on the property. Despite an immediate search of the surrounding area for any potential suspects, none were located. There were no injuries. Inquiries into this matter are ongoing and police are appealing for any witnesses to this incident or anyone with any information to contact the Somerset Criminal Investigation Unit on 234-1010.

Collision

Around 8am on Wednesday November 9th, Police responded to a report of a single vehicle collision on St. David’s Road, St George’s. It appears that a car was travelling on St. David’s Road when it collided with a fence. The driver, a 54 year old St. George’s woman sustained relatively minor injuries and was treated at the scene by EMTs. She was then transported to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for further treatment and later released.
