Disturbance

Around 7:55pm on Tuesday, Police attended a reported disturbance on Government Hill Road in St. George's (old Club Med site). On arrival officers spoke with the victim, a 14 year old Pembroke girl, who stated that she and a family member were involved in a verbal argument which turned physical when the suspect, a 19 year old Sandy's parish woman, assaulted her with a bladed article resulting in a laceration to her left shoulder. The Pembroke girl was taken to KEMH for treatment and released. The Sandy's parish woman was arrested, taken to Hamilton Police Station and detained. Approximately an hour later, Police returned to the same location to another reported disturbance. On arrival two women appeared to be in a verbal confrontation. One of them had received a wound to her forehead; however, she declined medical treatment. The other woman left the scene. Inquiries into these incidents are underway.

Burglary

At 6 this morning, Police attended a reported burglary at the Emporium Building on Front Street in the City of Hamilton. On arrival officers observed that an unknown culprit or culprits had gained entry into three shops in the complex; however, it appears that nothing was taken from any of them. Inquiries into these incidents are underway.

Around 10am on Tuesday, Police attended a reported burglary at a North Street, Pembroke business. On arrival officers spoke with the complainant who stated that sometime between 7:30am on Sunday and 8am on Tuesday, an unknown culprit or culprits gained entry into the store. The culprit(s) stole a 20" Toshiba flat screen TV, two Panasonic home theatre systems, two Coby radios and a Coby cordless phone. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Missing Juvenile

The Bermuda Police Service would like to thank the public for their assistance in locating 13 year old Kayla DeSilva Roberts of Alexandra Road in Devonshire. She was found safe and well today.
