Injury RTC/Impaired Driving - Around 5am on Friday, Police attended a reported single vehicle road traffic collision resulting in injury on Old Military Road in St. George’s near the junction with Barrack Hill. It appears that a motorcycle was traveling along Old Military Road when the rider, a 34 year old St. George’s man, collided with a concrete embankment. The St. George’s man was injured and taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment. He was subsequently arrested on suspicion of impaired driving. His injuries are not believed to be life threatening. The motorcycle received front end damage. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

The Bermuda Police Service will be holding a press conference today at 1pm in the Police Media Relations office, Prospect Devonshire regarding the fatal shooting last night. Assistant Commissioner of Police David Mirfield and Superintendent Antoine Daniels will address the media and all media are encouraged to attend.
