Industrial Accident

Around 9:45 this morning, Police attended a reported industrial accident at the Tynes Bay Incinerator on Palmetto Road in Devonshire. It appears that a female member of staff was operating a forklift when it lost control and collided with a wall. As a result the victim, a 43 year old Sandy's parish woman, had her left leg temporarily trapped between the forklift and the wall. The Sandy's parish woman was freed by Bermuda Fire Service personnel and transported by ambulance to KEMH for treatment of an injury to her left leg, which is not believed to be life threatening.

Theft

Around 8:25am on Thursday, Police received a report of a theft from an unattended vehicle. The complainant stated that sometime between 8pm on Wednesday and 7am on Thursday, an unknown culprit gained entry into his van which was parked outside his Inghams Vale, Pembroke residence. The culprit stole a brown tool bag containing various tools. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Burglary

At 8:15am on Thursday, Police attended a reported burglary at a Cavendish Road, Pembroke residence. On arrival officers spoke with the complainant who stated that sometime between 11pm on Wednesday and 6:30am on Thursday, an unknown culprit gained entry into their home. The culprit stole $200 in cash. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
