Around 3am today, Police attended a reported serious single vehicle road traffic collision resulting in injury on Happy Valley Road in Pembroke, near the junction with Happy Valley Lane. It appears that a motorcycle was traveling east on Happy Valley Road when the rider, a 36 year old Sandy's parish man, lost control attempting to negotiate a bend in the road and collided with a wall. The Sandy's parish man was taken to KEMH for treatment of injuries to his head and upper body. He is currently in the Intensive Care Unit in critical condition. The motorcycle received extensive front end damage. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Burglary

Around 3:45pm on Thursday, Police attended a reported burglary at a Witchery Lane, Warwick residence. On arrival officers spoke with the complainant who stated that sometime during the day an unknown culprit gained entry into his apartment. The culprit stole approximately $3,000 worth of $1 coins. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

For Sale - Blue Heron

The Bermuda Police Service (BPS) would like to advise the public that the former Police vessel 'Blue Heron' is in the process of being sold to interested parties by means of sealed bid tenders.

The vessel can be viewed by interested parties on Monday, November 27, 2006 from 10am onwards outside the BPS Marine Unit offices at Barr's Bay Park in the City of Hamilton.
