Injury RTC - Around 9:10pm on Wednesday, Police and first responders attended a reported road traffic collision resulting in injury at the junction of Crow Lane and Spurling Hill in Pembroke involving a motorcycle and a pedestrian. It appears that the pedestrian was crossing the road in the area and the motorcycle was traveling along Crow Lane when the collision occurred. The rider of the motorcycle, a 35 year old St. George’s man, received a minor injury to his leg. He was subsequently arrested on suspicion of impaired driving. The pedestrian, a 29 year old Devonshire man, was injured; however his injuries are not believed to be life threatening. Inquiries into this incident are underway. Police are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to contact PC Tiffani DeSilva on 295-0011.

Around 6:10pm on Wednesday, Police and first responders attended a reported road traffic collision resulting in injury at the junction of North Shore Road and Blackwatch Pass in Pembroke involving a SUV and a rental cycle. It appears that the SUV was traveling along Blackwatch Pass and the rental cycle was traveling along North Shore Road when the vehicles collided. The rider of the rental cycle, a 34 year old Devonshire man and his pillion passenger, a U. K. woman, were injured; however their injuries are not believed to be life threatening. The injured parties were taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment. The driver of the SUV, a 44 year old Pembroke woman, was not injured. Inquiries into this incident are underway. Police are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to contact PC Tiffani DeSilva on 295-0011.
