Assault

Around 3:40am today, Police received a report of an assault. The victim, a 35 year old Warwick man, stated that around 2:15am while he was working as security at the Ozone Nightclub on Front Street in the City of Hamilton, he removed a male from the premises for acting in a disorderly manner. A short time later the young man returned with his older brother and approached the Warwick man. An argument took place and then the older suspect, a 29 year old Devonshire man, head butted the bouncer. In the struggle that ensued, all three men fell to the ground. Other members of Ozone’s security staff eventually broke up the scuffle. The 35 year old Warwick man was treated at KEMH for facial injuries and released. The suspects, a 29 year old Devonshire man and his younger brother, made good their escape. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
