Injury RTC

Around 3am today, Police were on mobile patrol when they came upon a single vehicle road traffic collision resulting in injury on Canal Road in Pembroke, near the junction with Marsh Folly Road. Details about the collision are unclear; however, the rider of the motorcycle, a 31 year old Devonshire man, was found unconscious lying on the ground with his motorcycle. The Devonshire man sustained head injuries (lacerations to the forehead) as well as bruises to both knees and was taken to KEMH via ambulance for treatment. The motorcycle received extensive front end damage. Inquiries into this incident are underway. Police are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to contact PC Derek Simmons on 295-0011.

Arrest

The Bermuda Police Service would like to thank the public for their assistance in locating 33 year old Andrew Laing. Mr. Laing, a Jamaican national, was located and arrested early Thursday morning in Southampton. Inquiries are ongoing.

Burglary

Around 7:30pm on Thursday, Police attended a reported burglary at a Second Avenue, Warwick residence. On arrival officers spoke with the complainant who stated that sometime between 7:20am and 6:45pm that day, an unknown culprit gained entry into the home while it was unoccupied. The culprit stole several items of gold jewelry. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

At 5:50pm on Thursday, Police attended a reported burglary at a Ravello Garden Lane, Warwick residence. On arrival officers spoke with the complainant who stated that sometime during the day an unknown culprit gained entry into the home while it was unoccupied. The culprit stole a Toshiba DVD player. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
