At 5:45am on Sunday, Police attended a reported disturbance at the Esso City Tigermarket on Richmond Road in Pembroke. It appears that the victim, a 27 year old Pembroke man, entered the premises with one of the suspects, a 24 year old Pembroke woman and a physical altercation took place between them. While security personnel and staff members of the premises attempted to restrain the Pembroke woman two more suspects, a 22 year old Pembroke woman and a 17 year old Paget woman, entered the premises and attempted to attack the 27 year old man, throwing store merchandise at him. All three women were arrested; with the 24 year old Pembroke woman resisting arrest. She was eventually handcuffed and placed into a Police car but spat at officers in the vehicle while being transported to Hamilton Police Station. After arriving at the Station the 24 year old was taken to an interview room where she kicked an air conditioning unit, breaking the front cover off. When an officer released her from the handcuffs inside the interview room, she used the broken air conditioner cover to hit him in the head. The officer sustained a laceration to his left index finger and a laceration above his left eye. He was treated at KEMH for his injuries and released. All three women were detained at Hamilton Police Station and inquiries into this incident are underway.
