Reported Gunshots in Sandys - Around 7:55pm on Sunday, Police received a report of what were believed to be gunshots in the Long Bay Lane, Sandys parish area. Officers attended the scene a short time later and made a thorough search of the vicinity – however, after completing the search and speaking with area residents, nothing was found to substantiate the gunshot reports. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Injury RTC

Around 12:45am on Sunday, Police attended a reported single vehicle road traffic collision resulting in injury at the junction of North Street and Marsh Lane in Pembroke. It appears that a car was traveling west on North Street when the driver, a 25 year old Sandys parish man, lost control and collided with a wall. The Sandys parish man sustained minor injuries; however the car received extensive front end damage. The wall received minor damage. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Weekend Activity

Over the weekend there was 1 person arrested on suspicion of impaired driving and 5 reported burglaries. There were also 10 reported damage only road traffic collisions, 8 reported road traffic collisions resulting in injury and 6 vehicles reported taken without their owners’ consent.
