At 12:40pm on Monday, Police attended a reported road traffic collision resulting in injury on South Road in Warwick near the junction with Warwick Lane involving a motorcycle and a heavy truck. It appears that the Mack truck was traveling east on South Road and as the truck made a right turn the motorcycle attempted to overtake and the vehicles collided. The rider of the motorcycle, a 26 year old Warwick man, sustained serious facial injuries and a broken leg. He was taken to KEMH for treatment of his injuries which are not believed to be life threatening. The motorcycle was extensively damaged. The driver of the Mack truck, a 46 year old Devonshire man, was not injured and the truck received no damage. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
