Assault - Around 9am today, Police received a report of an assault on North Shore Road in Pembroke. Details about what occurred are unclear at this time; however, it appears that the victim, a 39 year old Sandys parish man, was in the C-Mart/‘Ducking Stool’ area when he was attacked by an unknown assailant or assailants with a bladed article. The Sandys parish man sustained injuries to his left arm. He was taken to KEMH via ambulance for treatment. The suspects are described as two men dressed in all black wearing black helmets and riding a black motorcycle. Inquiries into this incident are underway. Police are appealing for any witnesses to this incident or anyone with any information to contact the Hamilton Criminal Investigation Unit on 295-0011.

Around 9:05am on Thursday, Police received a report of an assault on North Street in Pembroke. The victim, a 53 year old Pembroke man, stated that between 5pm and 6pm on Tuesday, he was assaulted by four unknown men outside Dellwood Middle School. The assailants punched and kicked the Pembroke man about the head & body before making good their escape on foot. The victim was taken to KEMH for treatment by a member of the public where he is currently on a general ward. The suspects are described as young black men; three brown skinned and the other dark skinned. They are also described as being 5’9” tall of medium build with a full beard; 5’8” tall of stocky build with a distinctive walk, wearing jeans; approximately 5’4” tall of slim build wearing a grey hooded top; and approximately 5’9” tall of stocky build wearing dark coloured clothing respectively. Police are appealing for any witnesses to this incident or anyone with any information to contact the Hamilton Criminal Investigation Unit on 295-0011.

Burglary

Around 11:20am on Thursday, Police received a report of a burglary at a White Sands Road, Paget residence. It appears that the victim, a 54 year old Paget man, was in his living room that morning when two unknown men gained entry into his home and demanded money, reportedly brandishing bladed articles. A brief struggle took place with the Paget resident before the offenders made good their escape with a quantity of cash. The suspects are described as two young black men; one was 5’10” tall, dark skinned of slim build wearing a baggy hooded sweat top while the other was shorter, light skinned and of slim build. Both are believed to be in their late teens. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
