Robbery

Around 1:30am on Saturday, Police received a report of a robbery. The victim, a 41 year old St. George’s man (believed to be a South African national contract worker), stated that around 12:15am that day he was riding his rental cycle along Suffering Lane near the junction with Khyber Pass in St. George’s when he saw an unknown man standing beside a motorcycle in the middle of the road. The unknown man signaled for the victim to stop; however the St. George’s man fell from the rental cycle. At that time the offender approached the victim and punched him about the body before making good his escape on the motorcycle with the victim’s wallet. It appears that the 41 year old St. George’s man sustained bruising to his body as a result. The suspect was described as approximately 5’10” tall of stocky build with brown eyes, sideburns and a beard. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
