Assault - Around 1:20am today, Police received a report of an assault at the junction of Parsons Road and St. Augustine Road in Pembroke. On arrival at the scene a short time later, officers observed the victim, a 19 year old Pembroke man, lying in the road. It appears that the Pembroke man was walking in the area when he was attacked by several unknown men wearing hooded tops. The assailants then made good their escape. The victim attended KEMH for treatment and subsequently checked himself out of the hospital. He declined to make a formal complaint regarding the incident. Inquiries are underway.

Injury RTC

At 4:25pm on Thursday, Police attended a reported single vehicle road traffic collision resulting in injury on North Shore Road in Devonshire near the junction with Palmetto Road. It appears that an auxiliary cycle was traveling west on North Shore Road when the rider, a 38 year old Devonshire man, lost control and collided with a wall. The Devonshire man sustained injuries to his left arm and left leg. He was taken to KEMH via ambulance for treatment. The auxiliary cycle received minor damage. The wall was not damaged. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Burglary

At 7:05pm on Thursday, Police received a report of a burglary at an Oleander Hill, Smith’s parish residence. The complainant stated that sometime between 8:40am and 6pm that day, an unknown culprit gained entry into her home while it was unoccupied. The culprit stole a quantity of jewelry. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Around 6:30pm on Thursday, Police received a report of a burglary at a Sayle Road, Smith’s parish residence. The complainant stated that sometime between 8:40am and 6:30pm that day, an unknown culprit gained entry into her home while it was unoccupied; however it does not appear that anything was taken. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
