Burglary - Around 6:15pm on Wednesday, Police received a report of a burglary at a North Shore Road, Pembroke residence. The complainant stated that sometime between 7:50am and 5:40pm that day, an unknown culprit gained entry into her home while it was unoccupied. The culprit stole two laptop computers and a quantity of cash. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
Around 4:25pm on Wednesday, Police received a report of a burglary at a Naval Tanks Hill, St. George’s residence. The complainant stated that sometime between 9am and 4pm that day, an unknown culprit gained entry into his home while it was unoccupied. The culprit stole a 37” flat screen TV, a Dell laptop computer and other electronic equipment as well as a quantity of jewelry. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
Around 11:10am on Wednesday, Police received a report of a burglary at the St. George’s Community Centre. The complainant stated that sometime between midnight and 7am that day, an unknown culprit or culprits gained entry into the premises. The culprit(s) stole a quantity of electronic equipment including a black 32” Sony TV, a black Sony DVD player and a Dell computer with flat screen monitor. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
Community Safety Workshop
The Bermuda Police Service Crime Prevention Unit will hold a community safety workshop on Saturday, 21st November 2009 from 10am to 12 noon at Southside Police Station in St. David’s.
This workshop will provide information on neighbourhood watches, home security and burglary prevention as well as the U-Mark initiative. All are welcome to attend.
