St. David's Shooting Suspects to be Bailed - A 28 year old Pembroke man and an 18 year old Hamilton parish man arrested in connection with the shooting outside Southside Cinema will be released on Police bail today pending forensic results. The Bermuda Police Service is expediting the examination of all physical evidence but still need support from any witnesses who were in the area and have not yet contacted us. Investigators have received good assistance from members of the public so far; however anyone with any information, no matter how insignificant they think it may be is urged to contact the Serious Crime Unit office on 299-8115. We are particularly interested in speaking with anyone who was in the vicinity of the Southside Cinema around 11pm to midnight Friday November 13th or anyone (whether they saw the incident or not) who attended the 9:30pm movie at Southside Cinema on Friday November 13th. In addition, anyone with any information can contact the confidential Crime Stoppers hotline on 800-8477 or submit an anonymous tip via the Crime Stoppers Bermuda website at www.crimestoppers.bm.
The 18 year old Hamilton parish man is scheduled to appear in court today on unrelated charges regarding violation of his probation.
Roads Policing Unit Statistics
The Bermuda Police Service continues to advise the motoring public to slow down and to drive as well as ride responsibly on the island’s roads. Additionally, we urge those traveling in cars to use their seatbelts at all times and make sure any children traveling in the vehicle are appropriately restrained. Those traveling on motorcycles should always fasten their helmets and avoid making a third lane.
