Death of Stephen Andrew Lee

The Bermuda Police Service can now confirm the death of 20 year old Stephen Andrew Lee of Hamilton Parish who died as a result of a serious road traffic collision that took place yesterday at 1:40pm on North Shore Road in Hamilton Parish, near the junction with Coney Island Road. It appears that Mr. Lee was traveling west on North Shore Road when he collided with a jeep that was pulling out of Tony’s Fine Foods. He was catapulted on to the windshield of the jeep and subsequently landed on the ground. The motorcycle that the victim was riding caught fire after the impact; however the fire was quickly extinguished. Mr. Lee was then taken to KEMH in critical condition but later succumbed to his injuries. He was pronounced dead at 1:37 this morning by on call physician at the hospital. Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone with any information about this collision to contact PC Romeo Allen on 293-2222. The Bermuda Police Service extends its sincere condolences to the family & friends of the deceased.
The death of Stephen Andrew Lee marks the 1st road traffic fatality of 2007.
