Injury RTC

At 7:05 this morning, Police attended a reported road traffic collision resulting in injury at the junction of Middle Road and Woodlawn Road in Sandy's parish involving a bus and a motorcycle. It appears that the white Ministry of Education bus was attempting to make a right turn from Woodlawn Road on to Middle Road when it collided with the motorcycle, which was traveling west on Middle Road. The rider of the cycle, a 33 year old Pembroke man, sustained a leg injury and abdominal pain. He was taken to KEMH via ambulance for treatment of his injuries. The driver of the bus, a 41 year old Pembroke man, was not injured. The motorcycle was extensively damaged while the bus received extensive front end damage. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Burglary

Around 4:55pm on Tuesday, Police attended a reported burglary at a Southcourt Avenue, Paget residence. On arrival officers spoke with the complainant who stated that sometime between 9:30am and 3:30pm that day, an unknown culprit gained entry into his home while it was unoccupied. The culprit stole $138 in cash. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

At 2:55pm on Tuesday, Police attended a reported burglary at an Edgehill Drive, Paget residence. On arrival officers spoke with the complainant who stated that sometime between 7:30am and 12 noon that day, an unknown culprit gained entry into her home while it was unoccupied. The culprit stole a brand new 32" Sanyo plasma TV (still in its box) and U.S. $450 in cash. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
