Burglary

At 6pm on Monday, Police attended a reported burglary at a Gibbs Hill Road, Southampton residence. On arrival officers spoke with the complainant who stated that sometime between 9:30am and 4pm that day, an unknown culprit gained entry into her home while it was unoccupied. The culprit stole U.S. $120 in cash, several items of jewelry, a Dell laptop computer, an X-Box 360 video game system, 3 men's ties & 2 men's shirts, a Compaq laptop computer, a black Samsonite suitcase and a wireless router. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Around 8:20pm on Monday, Police attended a reported burglary at a Gibbs Hill Road, Southampton residence. On arrival officers spoke with the complainants who stated that sometime between 8:30am and 7:35pm that day, an unknown culprit gained entry into their home while is was unoccupied. The culprit stole an Acer laptop computer, several items of gold jewelry, 3 pairs of white Reebok sneakers, 1 pair of black Nike sneakers and several items of men's clothing. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

In light of recent burglaries, the Bermuda Police Service would like to remind all residents to lock their homes securely before leaving them unattended for any length of time. Also, valuables and money should be kept in a safe or safety deposit box if at all possible.
