Injury RTC - Around 1pm on Sunday, Police attended a reported road traffic collision resulting in injury at the junction of Roberts Avenue and Derwent Lane in Devonshire. It appears that a car was traveling north along Roberts Avenue and a pedal cyclist was traveling east along Derwent Lane when the vehicles collided at the junction. The car received relatively minor front end damage. The pedal cyclist, a 7 year old Devonshire boy, received a broken leg and was taken to KEMH for treatment. The driver of the car, a 52 year old Pembroke man, was not injured. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
Weekend Activity
Over the weekend there were 3 people arrested on suspicion of impaired driving and 2 reported burglaries. There were also 12 reported damage only road traffic collisions, 12 reported road traffic collisions resulting in injury and 3 vehicles taken without their owners’ consent.
