Robbery - At 10:30pm on Thursday, Police received a report of a robbery in Sandy’s parish. The victim, a 37 year old Warwick man, stated that he was walking along Mangrove Bay Road between 9:45pm and 10pm that day when he was approached by two unknown men on a grey motorcycle. The passenger demanded money and brandished a small blunt object. The Warwick man gave the offender a quantity of cash and then both suspects made good their escape on the motorcycle. The victim was not injured. The main suspect is described as a dark skinned male of thick build, approximately 6’2” tall weighing around 200 pounds and wearing dark blue jean shorts, a dark coloured shirt and a black helmet. The other suspect is described as approximately 6’2” tall of slim build wearing light grey shorts, blue/grey shirt and a black helmet. Inquiries into this incident are underway. Police are appealing for any witnesses to this incident to contact the Somerset Criminal Investigation Unit on 234-1010.

Burglary

Around 9:15am today, Police received a report of a burglary at the Bermuda Biological Station in St. George’s. The complainant stated that sometime overnight an unknown culprit gained entry into the library and stole a black Dell laptop computer. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Around 6:50pm on Thursday, Police received a report of a burglary at a Spanish Heights Road, Smith’s parish residence. The complainants stated that sometime between 8:30am and 6:30pm that day, an unknown culprit gained entry into their home while it was unoccupied. The culprit stole a quantity of cash. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Missing Juvenile - Found

The Bermuda Police Service would like to thank the public for their assistance in locating 17 year old Chantice Butterfield. She was found safe and well earlier today.
