Injury RTC - Around 4:15pm on Wednesday, Police attended a reported road traffic collision resulting in injury in the Kings Square/Ordnance Island area of St. George’s. It appears that an auxiliary cycle was traveling through the Kings Square/Ordnance Island area when the unknown rider lost control and collided with a 20 year old St. George’s man on a ‘Segway.’ The auxiliary cycle and unknown rider then struck two parked taxis. The unknown rider fled the scene on foot and made good his escape, despite being chased by a member of the public. The rider of the ‘Segway’ complained of pain to his left foot and a headache. It is unknown if the rider of the auxiliary cycle was injured or not. The auxiliary cycle, taxis & the ‘Segway’ received moderate damage. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
