At 3:35 this morning, Police attended a reported road traffic collision resulting in injury on North Shore Road in Devonshire near the junction with Loyal Hill Road involving two cars. It appears that a red Mitsubishi was traveling east on North Shore Road when a silver BMW traveling in the opposite direction overtook another westbound car and collided with the eastbound vehicle. The BMW then continued on to Roberts Avenue where it finally stopped and the driver, a 32 year old Pembroke man, was arrested on suspicion of impaired driving. The Pembroke man sustained a minor laceration to his head as a result of the collision. He was subsequently arrested, taken to Hamilton Police Station and detained. The driver of the Mitsubishi, a 36 year old St. George’s man, was treated at KEMH for neck pain and released. Both cars received extensive right side front end damage. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
