Robbery

At 1:20pm on Tuesday, Police received a report of a robbery. The victim, a 56 year old St. George's man, is a security guard at the Rockaway Ferry Terminal on Sea Express Lane in Southampton. He stated that around 7:50pm on Monday he finished work and due to the rain was running along Sea Express Lane to catch the bus when he was approached from behind by an unknown man who stopped him by grabbing his right arm. The suspect then stood in front of the St. George's man and told him to empty his pockets. At that point the victim felt a blunt object pressing into his back and realized that a second suspect was now behind him. The St. George's man handed the first suspect his wallet; the suspect removed an undisclosed amount of cash and then both men made good their escape on foot. The victim was not injured. The first suspect is described as a brown skinned male, approximately 5'7" tall of medium build, wearing a coat with a hood that completely covered his face. He is believed to be in his 20s. Inquiries into this incident are underway. Police are appealing for any witnesses to this incident to contact the Somerset Criminal Investigation Unit on 234-1010.

Burglary

At 2 this morning, Police received a report of a burglary at a Somerset Road, Sandy's parish residence. The complainant stated that around 1:50am he was awoken by an unknown intruder who had gained entry into his home. He confronted the unknown man who made good his escape on foot. The suspect is believed to be a brown skinned male, who is approximately 5'11" tall of slim build, wearing a blue hooded top which covered most of his face. The intruder took $50 in cash and a Samsung cellular phone. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

At 6:40pm on Tuesday, Police attended a reported burglary at an Old Road, Hamilton parish residence. On arrival officers spoke with the complainant who stated that sometime between 8:30am and 6pm that day, an unknown culprit gained entry into his home while it was unoccupied. The culprit stole U.S. $200 in cash. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
