The Bermuda Police Service can now confirm the death of 20 year old Shannon Nusum of Hamilton parish. Mr. Nusum was pronounced dead at 11:25pm on Thursday by an on call physician at KEMH. He succumbed to serious head injuries sustained in a road traffic collision that occurred on North Shore Road in Smith's parish near the junction with Jennings Road around 9:40am Monday, March 5, 2007. Police are continuing to appeal for any witnesses to the collision or anyone with any information to contact the Traffic Enforcement Unit on 299-4265 or the main Police number 295-0011. The Bermuda Police Service extends its sincere condolences to the family & friends of the deceased.

The death of Shannon Nusum marks the 5th road fatality for 2007.

Burglary

Around 9:20pm on Thursday, Police attended a reported burglary at an Uppington Crescent, Pembroke residence. On arrival officers spoke with the complainant who stated that sometime between 12:45pm and 5:20pm that day, an unknown culprit gained entry into her home while it was unoccupied. The culprit stole a quantity of cash. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

On arrival officers spoke with the complainants who stated that sometime between 9:30am and 5pm that day, an unknown culprit gained entry into their home while it was unoccupied. The culprit stole a quantity of cash. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
