Burglary

Around 12:30 this morning, Police attended a reported burglary at a South Road, Warwick residence. On arrival officers spoke with the complainant who stated that sometime between 8:40pm on Thursday and 12:20am on Friday, an unknown culprit gained entry into his home while it was unoccupied. The culprit stole a quantity of jewelry, a Sony Cyber-shot digital camera with a white case, a brown leather wallet and personal items. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Around 1:30pm on Thursday, Police received a report of a burglary at an Idle Acres Road, Smiths parish residence. The complainants stated that sometime between 10am on Friday, August 24 and 1pm on Thursday, August 30 an unknown culprit gained entry into their home while they were overseas. The culprit stole a 20” Sharp flat screen TV and personal items. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Around 11:25am on Thursday, Police attended a reported burglary at a Cloverdale Road, Devonshire residence. On arrival officers spoke with the complainants who stated that sometime between 9:50am and 11:20am that day, an unknown culprit gained entry into their home while it was unoccupied. The culprit stole a Nintendo Wii video game system, 3 Nintendo games and a quantity of alcohol. The suspect was confronted by a neighbour and seen by one of the complainants as he made good his escape. Police searched the surrounding area for the suspect, but were unable to locate him. The suspect is described as a light brown skinned male, between 54” and 58” tall, chubby with a close haircut wearing a red & black shirt with knee length dark blue jean shorts. He is believed to be 25 to 35 years old. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Theft

Around 10am on Thursday, Police received a report of a theft from a boat moored at Flatts Inlet. The complainant stated that sometime between 4:30pm on Wednesday and 9:30am on Thursday, an unknown culprit gained entry into his vessel. The culprit stole 4 Penn fishing rods and a quantity of marine electronics (GPS, depth-finder, VHF radio). Inquiries into this incident are underway.
