At 9:05am today, Police attended a reported road traffic collision resulting in injury on Pitts Bay Road in Pembroke involving a tractor trailer, a car and a motorcycle. It appears that the car was traveling west on Pitts Bay Road followed by the tractor trailer. The driver of the car stopped at the entrance to Old Slip Lane and put on his indicator to turn left. At this time, the tractor trailer collided with the rear of the car, pushing it forward and into a wall. The tractor trailer continued skidding forward, entering the eastbound lane where it collided slightly with the motorcycle. The driver of the car, a 44 year old Southampton man, sustained soreness to his back. The rider of the motorcycle, a 26 year old Pembroke man, sustained abrasions to his lower back, right shoulder and right elbow while the driver of the tractor trailer, a 45 year old Pembroke man, was not injured. However, the driver of the tractor trailer received a ticket for driving without due care and attention. The tractor trailer received moderate front end damage; the car received moderate front and rear end damage while the cycle received moderate front end damage. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
